Finally

I finally have the sofa. Well it's a loveseat. It's light, portable, beautiful and about 100 years old. This photo project has been a brain child of mine for the past two years. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I'm a big fan of environmental nude art but I wanted to have one constant if I was changing locations and models. The loveseat provides me with a constant. Every model approaches the sofa differently.

I had my very first model the other day... Kassandra. Kassandra answered my call for a model brave enough to face the winter. She came to my house and modeled in the woods behind my house with the sofa. The photos were lovely. We only did a few poses and that was all I could ask of her. It was too cold to keep her out any longer. We ran back in the house, she warmed up, put her clothes on and we ran back out and got the sofa. I can't wait to show the photos to her. I have to get a form signed before posting them on here but I can say they are wonderful! The poses are gentle and graceful.

More to come.

Sofa for the Soul

This is the blog for my brain child... my first attempt at shooting the nude. I don't want to reveal too much in my first post but I have found the sofa/loveseat I have been looking for. It looks like it is about a hundred years old, it's pink, and well loved but not torn. My project is about self esteem but it is also about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. I will be posting photos of the loveseat when I pick it up hopefully within the next few days. This project has been rolling around in my head for about a year and a half now. I've decided I finally have the resources, volunteers, the camera and the sofa and I have no reason to continue to procrastinate. So hopefully tomorrow I will be able to show everyone the sofa!
